EPISODE RECAP

Hello, everyone! Welcome to our latest blog post, where we share insights, personal stories, and vibrant ideas from our recent live session. This week, we delved into the art of getting creative in life and business, explored fascinating places, and even discussed how colors can influence our emotions and spaces.

Starting the Day with a Chat

Good morning! As we gathered virtually, the weather seemed to be a hot topic—literally. It's been quite the scorcher lately, hasn't it? We're grateful for the cool morning hours we get to spend sharing with you all.

Join Our Creative Conversations

We love connecting with you and want you to be part of our discussions! Whether you're creatively thriving in your personal ventures or professional life, we'd love to hear your stories. Feel free to join us, or suggest topics you'd like us to cover. Not camera-ready? No worries—just drop us a line!

Show and Tell: Our Weekly Mug Showcase

We kicked things off by introducing our new coffee mugs. This week, I shared a special mug from Prague—my treasured souvenir from a work trip where I learned about marketing abroad. Prague, with its cobblestones and medieval charm, left a lasting impression.

"Prague's Starbucks mocha was a revelation. It tasted so much cleaner, and I felt as though I didn't even gain weight while I was there!"

Tara, on the other hand, showcased a cactus-themed mug, adding a bit of desert flair to the morning. Having a sturdy handle is crucial for coffee enjoyment, don't you agree?

Who Are We?

Meet Tara

Hi, I'm Tara, an interior designer specializing in both residential and commercial spaces. My business, Tarly Interior Design, covers everything from helping you rearrange your furniture to complete renovations with contractors. I also have a passion for staging homes, helping realtors make spaces pop.

Meet Rebecca

I'm Rebecca Bertoldi, a marketer who loves crafting unique brand messages and creating engaging experiences for clients. I've recently explored local businesses like Sparrow Soaps in Putnam, where I found soaps that smell divine.

"Their watermelon and lavender soap is as beautiful as it smells."

Dive into Color Psychology

Our conversation turned colorful as we explored color psychology—how colors evoke emotions and influence our surroundings. Did you know green, often associated with nature and growth, can create a sense of calm contentment? No wonder hospitals utilize green tones.

RED's association with passion and excitement is well-known but can also symbolize a stop sign in marketing. While not common in interior design, red can make a bold statement as an accent.

"In marketing, I would advise against red buttons—they can deter rather than attract."

Exploring More Colors

  • Brown: Surprisingly linked to disgust by some, it's less favored in marketing.

  • Yellow: Balancing between hope and caution, yellow often signifies welcome in design.

  • Blue: Known for relief and tranquility, it’s a staple in business aesthetics.

"For interior design, balance is key—consider patterns and textures carefully."

Designing Spaces

Tara shared her excitement over a project in Norwich, Connecticut, transforming a garage into a vibrant living space. It’s always thrilling when clients trust our vision, allowing creativity to flow unrestricted. She's incorporating bold, bright designs—an explosion of Art Deco inspiration.

"My goal? I'd love to see my designs featured in a magazine one day."

Creative Wishes and Future Plans

Rebecca shared a goal: diving into resin crafts. With the weather soon cooling, crafting in a well-ventilated space will become possible. Creativity is an ever-evolving journey—for both of us and for you.

We invite you to reach out if you'd like to collaborate, meet at a local spot, or even just chat over coffee. Your participation and feedback are valuable to us, helping shape our discussions.

"We want to hear what's inspiring you. What's your creative venture?"

Closing Thoughts

Thank you for joining us today, whether live or later via replay. We hope our musings brought inspiration and sparked new ideas for your projects and pursuits. Until next week, stay creative, take care, and keep exploring the rich world of art and design around you.

Goodbye for now!
